There a number of trails thru and around the Station that I hope we are able to try before we leave. Some are definitely too intense to do with the wee ones, but others look like they might be doable.
We didn't actually tour any of the buildings, but we did have a lovely morning tea (lunch) tucker (picnic). We met a friend of Jamie's (Rio) and his mom (Simha) there and the boys had a fantastic time.
We were joined by some birds and critters, including a newly "hatched" cicada.

The highlight of the morning was playing in the Todd River, which still had water in it from the previous week's rain.

Hey Heather,
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying your posts! I did have one question, does it seem weird to go from summer weather to summer weather? We are having our wonderful fall weather here and I wondered if you miss it at all.
Cindi
Speaking the Aussie talk now, I see. I'll have to pass along these terms to Blake so he can expand his vocab.
ReplyDeleteLove the pix of Jamie and his little buddy. Makes me think about him and Olivia splashing in her kiddie pool.
@Cindi - not weird per se, but I am definitely missing the fall weather. Its hard to get in the Thanksgiving/Christmas spirit when it is getting so hot!
ReplyDelete@Elana - I'm having fun trying to learn it all. I still can't bring myself to call diapers, nappies or pacifiers, dummies, though. The greatest part is listening to Jamie develop an Aussie accent. He's already started calling me Mum or Mummy and the babies "bubs" or "bubbies". He also says "Her-a", instead of here. I hear, "Mummy come her-a!!" a lot!
